B.D Engineers Ltd is a major supplier of a wide range of tea factory machines and power transmission products. Our products are popular among all factories in Kenya and abroad.

We will soon be completing 38 years of dedicated service to the local and neighboring countries in the manufacturing and processing sector.

Since then, there has been no looking back and we have strengthened our capacity and products to become a major supplier of power transmission products and service.

With our head office factory located in Nairobi (Kenya), we offer full back-up and technical services to all the industries.

Vee Belts

We provide the best combination of traction, speed of movement, load of the bearing and long service life.

They are generally endless and their general cross section shape is trapezoidal. The 'V' shape of the belt tracks in a mating groove in the pulley (or sheave) with the result that the belt cannot slip off.

The belt also tends to wedge into the groove as the load increases. The greater the load, the greater the wedging action - improving torque transmission and making the V-belts trump flat belts with their small centre distances and high reduction ration.

The preferred centre distance is larger than the largest pulley diameter, but less than three times the sum of both pulleys. Optimal speed range is 1000 - 7000ft/min

We supply SMSR's that are fully interchageable with other manufacturers and are supplied complete with torque arm. A backstop is available on request.

Consistent quality and close tolerances are guaranteed by all manufacturers and all castings are crack tested.

Also available are heavy duty worm reduction gearboxes of various sizes and ratios. They can be either used vertically or horizontally.
